GSA Awards Coast and Harbor Contract to Provide Construction Management Services Through the GSA Schedule
GSA has awarded a contract to Coast and Harbor to provide a full range of construction management services through the GSA Schedule. The GSA Schedule is the mechanism by which all federal agencies can purchase goods and services from vendors prequalified by GSA. Getting on the GSA Schedule represents an opportunity for all federal agencies to procure Coast and Harbor's construction management services directly from the Schedule.
Coast and Harbor Selected for Hines Team for South Station Office Building Hines Interests of Texas has retained Coast and Harbor to provide project management services in connection with design and construction of Hines new 41 floor, 1,300,000 square foot office building to be built over South Station. Coast and Harbor's scope includes negotiating and drafting consultant agreements. C&H Completes Design Review for New Border Station in Calais, Maine About to Start Construction Coast and Harbor, as GSA's CMa for this project, has completed the desgn review for the new $45M border station in Calais. This review included value engineering recommendations and completeness and constructability reviews. Construction will start during the first quarter of 2008. C&H will provide a full set of construction management services during construction of this facility. GSA Awards Coast And Harbor Associates Design Review And Project Management Contract For New Border Station In Calais, Maine. Coast and Harbor will be performing design review services for a $43 million border facility in Calais, Maine for GSA. The design review services in the pre-construction phase include review of the design plans, value engineering, cost estimating and schedule analysis and a constructability review. This phase is expected to be completed in May, 2007. CHA will then become the CM for the construction phase of this facility. John Lord Joins Coast And Harbor As Our Newest Employee Coast and Harbor welcomes its newest employee, Mr. John Lord. Mr. Lord's primary responsibility will be that of Resident Superintendent for the new Border Station in Calais, Maine. Mr. Lord has over twenty years of experience in military construction and twenty-two years of commercial construction experience. Mr. Lord's background in the military and his work on projects that required his level of experience and expertise will assist him in his role as Resident Superintendent for the new Border Station in Calais, ME. Coast And Harbor Selected For Winn Development Team For Columbus Center Columbus Center is a $400 million luxury mixed use project (condominiums, hotel, and retail space) being developed by Winn Development. The project will be built over the Massachusetts Turnpike Extension between Clarendon and Arlington Streets. Coast and Harbor's scope includes drafting contracts, contract administration, amendments and change orders, and administering the closing of development documents. Coast and Harbor's team for this project includes Claude Lancome, Peg Zilinsky, and Marie Rose. Coast And Harbor Selected For CM At Risk Seminar By Inspector General The Massachusetts Inspector General (IG) has selected Coast and Harbor to participate in its new seminar on the Contractor at Risk method of procurement. Our section will address the practical aspects of drafting, negotiating, and administering CM at Risk contracts. Coast and Harbor has extensive experience with CM at Risk projects, including the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center ($750 M), the Worcester Courthouse ($125 M), and Columbus Center ($400 M). Claude Lancome will mke these presentations. He also does a day long presentation on managing design and construction contracts for the IG's Office as part of its three day seminar on procuring design and construction services.
